Karting Sallent

The track

Karting Sallent is a 450-meter outdoor track located at kilometer 58.5 of the C-16, the highway connecting Manresa and Berga, in the Bages region. It is the northernmost karting track in the province of Barcelona listed in this directory, and the natural choice for all of central Catalonia: Manresa is fifteen minutes away, and Berga is half an hour away.

It is one of three karting tracks in the province listed here that features a driving school—meaning it offers instruction, not just pay-per-minute rentals. In an area with very few options, the fact that the premier track also trains drivers is no small matter.

The fleet covers the three standard types: single-seater gas-powered karts, two-seaters for passengers who don’t drive, and children’s karts. This combination allows an entire family or a group with varying skill levels to participate without leaving anyone out—which is the most common drawback of a track with only adult karts. It also has a merchandise shop and hosts group events and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

At 450 meters, it’s on the shorter end for the province, so a session consists of fast laps and a series of linked turns—a format that works well for beginners. There is no published schedule: it’s best to call before going, especially in winter, because in the Bages region, the cold significantly affects operations at an outdoor track.
