Karting Minilandia

The track

Karting Minilandia is an outdoor track located at kilometer 12.6 of the C-31, the Castelldefels highway, in the municipality of Viladecans. It has been in operation since 1973, making it one of the oldest karting tracks still in operation in Spain and, by far, the oldest in the province of Barcelona.

It features gasoline-powered karts and has a separate fleet for children, with a restaurant on the premises. It hosts children’s birthday parties, group events, and bachelor/bachelorette parties—a natural fit in a densely populated area with few outdoor options.

There are two things you should know before going, neither of which is mentioned on their sign. First, there’s another karting track in Viladecans: Gené Karting, which is indoors and located inside the Vilamarina shopping center. They are separate businesses. Second, this track appears in some older listings as *Karting Galieno Viladecans*, a name that’s still in use and refers to the same place.

The hours are the most irregular in the province, and it’s worth reading them in full: it’s closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Mondays and Tuesdays, it’s open from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; on Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. On weekdays, the track closes from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, so there’s no riding at noon.
