The track

Circuit d'Osona Karting is an outdoor track located in the Malloles industrial park in Vic, the capital of the Osona region. It is the northernmost karting track in the interior of the province of Barcelona and serves as the main facility for a region of more than fifty thousand residents that has no other nearby options.

It is one of only three karting tracks in the province that features a driving school—offering training in addition to individual sessions. In an area with a strong tradition of motorsports, the fact that the local track teaches people how to drive—rather than just renting out track time by the minute—changes its target audience: it’s not just weekend recreation.

It operates with gasoline-powered karts. Among its services are a merchandise store and events for groups and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Being located in an industrial park—rather than on a rural road—has a practical advantage that’s much appreciated: parking is easy, and the access road is paved and well-signposted, something that isn’t always the case at inland tracks.

There are no published opening hours, so it’s best to call before visiting, especially in winter: Vic is located in the Plana de Vic region, known for its fog and for recording some of the lowest temperatures in Catalonia, and this affects operations at an outdoor track more than it does on the coast.
