Tarraco Karting

The track

Tarraco Karting is a 600-meter track located in the Francolí industrial park, within the city of Tarragona itself, and it’s one of a kind: of the 136 verified circuits throughout Spain listed in this directory, it’s the only one with a mixed layout, featuring both covered and open-air sections on the same track.

This isn’t just a technical curiosity—it changes how you drive. The indoor and outdoor sections have different levels of grip—the indoor asphalt doesn’t get wet or heat up the same way—so each lap requires you to adjust your driving style twice. And it has a very specific practical consequence: when it rains, an outdoor track closes or becomes uncomfortable to drive on, and an indoor track never gives you the same sense of speed as the outdoors. This one offers the best of both worlds.

The fleet runs on gasoline and includes two-seaters—karts where one person drives and another rides along as a passenger: this is the option for bringing along someone who doesn’t drive or doesn’t dare to go out alone, so they don’t have to just watch from the fence.

Its location in the Francolí industrial park places it within the city of Tarragona itself, not on a rural road, making it the most accessible track in the province for those without a car or traveling by train. It hosts children’s birthday parties, group events, and bachelor/bachelorette parties. There is no published schedule, so it’s best to call ahead before visiting.
