Karting Club Vendrell

The track

Karting Club Vendrell is an outdoor track located at kilometer 1189 of the N-340, near El Vendrell, in the Baix Penedès region. At 1,310 meters spread across two tracks, it is the longest circuit measured by this directory in the province of Tarragona, ahead of Salou and Calafat.

That length changes the nature of the session. On a short track, the outcome depends mainly on who you’re racing against; on a 1,310-meter track, there’s room to string together turns, find gaps, and make your fast lap depend on how you drive. The two tracks also make it possible to separate participants by skill level or age rather than mixing the entire group into the same session—which is what often spoils a birthday party or a bachelor/bachelorette party when there’s a wide range of driving ability among the participants.

The fleet runs on gasoline, with separate karts for children, and its stated focus is on children’s birthday parties, group events, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

One detail worth clarifying before you go—and one that isn’t obvious on any map—is that there are two different karting tracks just one kilometer apart on this same road. This one is at kilometer 1189, and Karting Coma-ruga is at 1188; both are located in the municipality of El Vendrell. They are separate facilities, each with its own phone number and website, so it’s worth confirming which one you’re calling. El Vendrell is about forty minutes from Tarragona and just over an hour from Barcelona via the AP-7.
