Karting L'Estartit

The track

Karting L'Estartit is located in L'Estartit, in the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí, in the Baix Empordà region. It is run by the same company that operates Karting L'Escala, twenty minutes away along the coast, and it’s a good idea to know this before calling because they share the same phone number.

Its defining feature is that it’s strictly seasonal: it’s open from Holy Week through the end of September and closed the rest of the year. This is the exact opposite of its sister track in L’Escala, which is open year-round except on December 25 and January 1. So if you’re planning to drive in this part of the Costa Brava during the winter, you’ll need to go to the one in L’Escala; and if it’s summer, this one is right next to one of the busiest beaches in the Empordà.

Seasonal hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and in July and August, the afternoon session runs until 8 p.m.

The fleet offers four categories: kids’ karts, two-seaters for riding with a non-driver, standard karts, and super karts. And it maintains the group’s unique feature: sessions aren’t a fixed length—you can choose 6, 12, or 18 minutes. Six minutes is little more than a quick tryout, and eighteen minutes can really wear you out, so being able to choose prevents you from either feeling like you didn’t get enough or paying for time you won’t use.

Their website is in Catalan only and does not list the track’s length, which is the information missing from this profile.
