The track

Go-Karts Mar Menor is an outdoor track located on the road connecting Santiago de la Ribera with Los Narejos, in San Javier, on the shores of the Mar Menor. With a 1,100-meter track and a width of over nine meters, it is the longest of the circuits in the Region of Murcia listed in this directory that specify their length, and its layout runs clockwise, contrary to the norm.

The fleet is organized by age and experience level and is the most comprehensive in the province: F-100 for children ages 6 to 11, two-seaters for an adult to carry a child up to age 6, F-200 for those 12 and older and at least 1.40 meters tall, F-300 Birel for those 16 and older, and F-450 reserved for those 18 and older with prior experience. Runs last eight minutes.

And there’s one model worth highlighting because it’s quite rare: the Adapted F-300, a kart with the accelerator and brake on the steering wheel, designed for people with mobility issues. It’s not an access ramp or a parking space; it’s a kart that can be driven without using your feet, and that’s what truly separates watching from actually driving.

Safety features include TEC PRO barriers—the same ones used in Formula 1—non-slip paint on the curves, a remote control to brake or stop a kart from the control tower, and roll bars on the entire fleet. It has a restaurant and terrace, parking, timing with a video scoreboard on a giant screen, lighting for night driving, and private training sessions.

A practical detail: as a general rule, reservations aren’t necessary, since there are kiosks where you can get a ticket in just a couple of minutes. However, you do need to make reservations for group packages—bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate events, and team outings—as well as birthday parties. And in July and August, the circuit itself notes that promotions are not available, which makes sense given that it’s the peak season for the Mar Menor.
