Cartagena Karting Club

The track

The Cartagena Karting Club is an outdoor track located on the RM-F36 highway, in the La Palma area, within the municipality of Cartagena. It is not in the city itself but in the countryside outside Cartagena, on the way inland.

What best defines it is how its fleet is segmented by age—the most detailed breakdown in the province: twelve 300 cc adult karts for ages 12 and up, four 200 cc “super kids” karts for ages 10 to 12, four 120 cc junior karts for the 8- to 10-year-old age group, and two 120 cc two-seaters with no age limit, for accompanying those who cannot yet drive alone. Twenty-two karts in total. These two intermediate categories make the difference between an 11-year-old driving a kart designed for their age or having to use the one meant for younger children.

The race formats range from a single eight-minute session to a championship featuring two 12-lap races, including the Mini GP with qualifying and a race. On Wednesdays, there’s a special promotion—Driver’s Day—featuring qualifying and a race.

It’s open Wednesday through Sunday: weekday afternoons and mornings and afternoons on weekends and holidays; closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. For reservations outside these hours, please inquire. Reservations can be made through their website.

It does not list the track length, which is the only key piece of information missing from its profile. As a point of reference: it shares an operator with the Águilas Karting Club, located at the other end of the region, and the contact phone number is the same for both.
