Águilas Karting Club

The track

Águilas Karting Club is an outdoor circuit located on the Arejos Road, in the Las Lomas del Charcón area of Águilas, in the southwestern corner of the Region of Murcia. It occupies a 20,000-square-meter facility, and the track is 800 meters long and eight meters wide, with a main straight measuring more than 150 meters.

Its fleet is the largest in the province among those that publish their inventory: thirteen 420-cc Sodi RT8s, twelve 300-cc karts, five junior karts, and two two-seaters—thirty-two karts in total. That number matters more than it seems, because it determines how many drivers can race at the same time and, therefore, whether a large group can race together or must be split into shifts. The rental karts are equipped with timing systems.

The range of formats extends from a single eight-minute session to the championship, including the Mini GP: timed qualifying followed by a ten-lap race. The championship format adds free practice sessions before qualifying, which is the difference between simply driving fast and preparing for a race.

It has parking, a café-bar with snacks, and a spacious terrace, and hosts bachelor and bachelorette parties. The published schedule covers Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, with two sessions—morning and afternoon—and a break at noon; for the rest of the week, you’ll need to call.

A useful fact to help you locate it: it shares an operator with the Cartagena Karting Club; the same contact number applies to both tracks. They are separate facilities located more than 100 kilometers apart, but they are managed by the same company.
