The track
The Alhama Circuit, which operates commercially as Karting Espuña, is an outdoor facility located in the Ral area of Alhama de Murcia, at the foot of the Sierra Espuña mountains and a half-hour drive from the capital via the A-7.
Its adult fleet is divided into four distinct levels, and it is the only track in the province organized this way: Start (beginner), Sport (intermediate), Race (advanced), and Semi Pro (competition). In addition, there are Junior karts for the youngest riders and two-seaters for those who don’t drive to ride along with someone else. This tiered system is useful precisely because it’s clearly defined: in a group with widely varying skill levels, everyone knows in advance which kart they’ll be driving, rather than finding out at the first turn.
What sets it apart from the rest of the province is that karting isn’t the only activity on offer. The same facility offers paintball, and they also rent out Villa Espuña, a house with a pool, making it the only track in Murcia listed in this directory that’s designed as a full-day or weekend destination—not just a two-hour activity. It offers special birthday and group packages and sells the activity online through its own website.
It’s open Tuesday through Sunday and closed on Mondays for a day off: afternoons from Tuesday through Thursday and all day Friday through Sunday. Groups, high schools, and companies can request times outside of these hours.
It does not list the track’s length or width—the information needed to complete the listing.
