Asturias has three karting circuits, and one of them is probably the best known in Spain outside of motorsport circles: the Museo y Circuito Fernando Alonso in La Morgal, Llanera. With 1,392 meters of verified track and two lanes, it's also the only one in the directory that accommodates both electric and gasoline karts, and one of the few with a mixed layout, partly covered and partly open-air. In a region where it rains so much, that's no small detail.

The Kartódromo de Tapia, in Tapia de Casariego, with 1,200 meters and two tracks, covers western Asturias, a good distance from the central area. And the Circuito de Asturias, also called Karting Asturias, in Ordoño, Siero, with 850 meters, is located right in the center of the region, between Oviedo and Gijón, where most of the population lives.

All three circuits have verified lengths, which in a province with only three tracks means there's no guesswork involved: 1,392, 1,200, and 850 meters. It's a small selection, but the tracks are remarkably long compared to what's typically found in northern Spain.

The network covers the territory well: the west with Tapia, the center with Siero, and the metropolitan area with La Morgal. The eastern part—the Llanes and Ribadesella area—remains less covered, as the nearest circuit is located in the center of the region.

It's worth noting that the La Morgal complex is both a museum and a racetrack, so the plan can be interpreted in two ways: go for a spin, or visit the collection and then go for a spin. For those traveling with someone who doesn't want to get in a kart, this is the best option for the afternoon.
