The track

The Asturias Circuit, which operates as Karting Asturias, is located on Venta del Jamón Road in Ordoño, within the municipality of Siero, and is a quarter of an hour from Oviedo. The track is 850 meters long, with six right-hand turns and three left-hand turns.

According to its own description, it is one of the most historic circuits in Asturias, and leading drivers from various motorsports disciplines have raced on its track. Its fleet includes a 306 cc two-seater Birel, for taking along someone who isn’t yet comfortable driving alone. It features a timing system and a terrace where you can celebrate the podium after the race.

Now, here are the three things you need to know before leaving home, as they’re published by the track itself and can significantly affect your plans:

First, you must make a reservation by phone. This isn’t a place you can just show up at without notice. Second, the maximum number of drivers on the track at any one time is twelve, so a larger group is split into two or more sessions: for a bachelor party with twenty people, that means you’ll need to account for the time of both groups, not just one. And third, if it rains, the activity can’t take place; in Asturias, it’s a good idea to have a backup plan or call on the same day.

The track provides helmets. Comfortable clothing and athletic shoes are recommended, and participation while under the influence of alcohol is not permitted.

Weekday hours are short and split—two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon—and on weekends, it’s open continuously from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It’s closed on Mondays.
