The track

The Fernando Alonso Museum and Circuit is located in La Morgal, in Llanera, ten minutes from Oviedo, and is Spain’s most unique karting complex: a museum dedicated to the two-time world champion’s career, an outdoor circuit designed by him, and an indoor karting track—all three on the same grounds.

There’s one key distinction here that determines the trip and isn’t apparent from the outside, so let’s start with that. There are two tracks, and they operate very differently.

The outdoor circuit measures 1,392 meters, is between nine and eleven meters wide, and is homologated by the CIK-FIA—it appears on the official list of homologated circuits under license number 1141, valid through May 2027. Alonso designed it by incorporating replicas of the turns he liked best from international Formula 1 circuits, including the final turn at Valencia. But to drive there, you need your own kart: there are no rentals at this track, and a full suit of gear is mandatory, including a racing suit, gloves, boots, and an approved full-face helmet. It is a competition facility, not a recreational one.

The rental karting is the indoor track: a 400-meter, multi-level track with twelve turns, covering 2,750 square meters, and featuring an all-electric fleet. There are two categories: the Sodikart LRX for juniors—ages 8 to 13 and at least 130 centimeters tall (both conditions must be met)—and the Sodikart RSX2 for seniors, ages 14 and up and at least 150 centimeters tall, which features an extra-power button. Both come equipped with a roll bar, seatbelt, adjustable pedals, seat, and steering wheel, as well as live timing.

There are two specific indoor rules you should know before arriving, as they will prevent you from entering the track: long hair must be completely tied back, and baggy clothing is not allowed; furthermore, personal cameras of any kind—including GoPros, cell phones, and camera glasses—are not permitted.

In addition to the museum and the two tracks, the facility features a karting campus for children, membership options for frequent visitors, corporate events, and a store. The indoor track is open every day; the outdoor circuit is open Tuesday through Friday.

Are you Museo y Circuito Fernando Alonso?

We wrote this listing ourselves from your own website. It is free and it will stay free: being here costs nothing. What we are building is what comes next — online booking, rider meet-ups, prepayment, a management panel and fleet control —, and that part will be paid. If you want to see it or ask what it costs, we will show you with no commitment.
