The track

The Tapia Karting Track is located at kilometer marker 1.2 on the TC-2 highway, between Salave and La Roda, in Tapia de Casariego, at the western edge of Asturias, right next to the border with Galicia. It is the only track in the province that is not in the Oviedo area: the other three are all less than fifteen kilometers from the capital, while this one is more than one hundred fifty kilometers away.

The track is 1,200 meters long and 10 meters wide, and what sets it apart is how it’s divided: it’s split into two circuits that operate simultaneously and independently—one 700-meter circuit for adults and group packages, and another 500-meter circuit for children. That’s the practical difference from a single-track karting track: children don’t have to wait their turn while adults are driving; both groups are on the track at the same time. And for those with experience, the circuits can be joined to form the full 1,200-meter length—the configuration used in their own endurance races.

The fleet consists entirely of Sodi karts, with models for all ages and skill levels. It features live timing and an online driver registry where results can be viewed; for frequent visitors, this means building a personal track record rather than just a single session.

It organizes races and competitions on its own schedule, accommodates groups of eight or more, and sells gift certificates.

A bit of context: it’s the westernmost karting track in northern Spain among those listed in this directory, so for anyone coming from Lugo or the A Mariña coast, it’s considerably closer than any inland Galician circuit.
