Karting Carlos Sainz Las Rozas

The track

Karting Carlos Sainz Las Rozas is a 450-meter indoor track located in the Európolis business park in Las Rozas, northwest of Madrid. It is one of only two indoor karting tracks listed in this directory in the Community of Madrid, and one of nineteen in all of Spain out of 136 verified tracks.

Being indoors is its main selling point, and this is no small matter in this region: Madrid has the harshest summers and coldest winters of all major Spanish cities, and on an indoor track, the weather no longer determines whether or not you can drive. The track is short, so a session consists of fast laps, a series of linked turns, and very few breathing spaces—a format that works well for first-timers and for short weekday sessions.

It has a café, and its hours are unusual for the industry: it’s open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., starting in the morning, which makes it one of the few options for driving first thing in the morning or at midday instead of in the afternoon.

One thing to keep in mind before searching: the group used to have another location in Madrid, in La Ermita, which is no longer in operation. The one in Las Rozas is the only one still open, so old references to a “Karting Carlos Sainz” in the city point to a facility that no longer exists.
