Henakart

The track

Henakart is a gasoline-powered go-kart track located on the road from Torrejón to Loeches, at kilometer 3.6, within the municipality of San Fernando de Henares, in the Henares corridor east of Madrid.

It’s important to note this last detail, because it’s advertised as the Torrejón and Alcalá circuit—which are the two main cities in the area—but the track is actually in San Fernando de Henares, on the road connecting Torrejón and Loeches. Looking for it in the wrong municipality is the easiest mistake to make, and in a corridor with three large cities right next to each other, it can lead to quite a detour.

It operates with gas-powered karts. The schedule has two important details you should know before going: it’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and it changes with the season—summer, spring-fall, and winter have different schedules—so there isn’t a single schedule that applies year-round, and the facility itself advises checking it beforehand. At an outdoor track, this is normal, but it’s best not to take it for granted.

The Henares corridor is home to a large portion of the population in eastern Madrid, and this is the closest karting track to Torrejón, San Fernando, Coslada, and Alcalá without having to go into the city or head up into the mountains.
