Circuito Benamariel (El Silvar)

The track

They don't have rental karts and you can only use your own. If you're looking for an afternoon of karting with friends and don't have your own equipment, this isn't the place; if you have a kart, it's exactly what you're looking for.

The Circuito Benamariel, known as El Silvar, is located in Benamariel, 27 kilometers from León, next to the N-630 highway. It measures 1,300 meters long and between seven and nine meters wide, is run clockwise, and the layout combines curves and inclines. It is one of the longest circuits in the province.

The fact that it doesn't rent karts is understandable once you see its purpose: it's not a leisure facility but a competition track, and a real one at that. It hosts the FACYL Champions Race—with editions in 2024, 2025, and 2026—and has hosted the Castile and León Karting Championship. It also publishes an archive of best times from 2010 to 2017, which gives an idea of how long it has been operating as a racing circuit.

Its origins largely explain its character: it was built by a local resident, a karting enthusiast. It's not a leisure business run by a chain; it's a competition track created from within the karting world.

It's open every weekend, with no posted hours, and doesn't publish track fees. You have to ask to get a ride.
