The three karting circuits in Almería are located on the coast, and between them they cover the two ends of the provincial coastline: the west, with El Ejido and Roquetas de Mar, and the east, with Garrucha. There are just over 100 kilometers between Roquetas and Garrucha, so in practice they don't compete: each one is the benchmark for its area.
Karting Copo, in El Ejido, has a verified track length of 900 meters, and Karting Roquetas has 860 meters. These are average rental track lengths, sufficient for a lap to maintain a good pace without reaching the level of competition tracks. Karting Garrucha has two tracks, although we have not been able to confirm their length.
All three are outdoor circuits and all three offer two-seater karts and children's karts, clearly positioning them as ideal for families and groups. In a province where tourism is concentrated in Roquetas, Almerimar, and the coast of Mojácar and Vera, this makes sense: the majority of customers come on vacation, not to train.
What this means for those looking for a place to ride is that, as far as we can tell, there are no indoor tracks or long circuits in Almería. If you're looking for a competition circuit, the nearest option is outside the province.
And there's a climatic consequence that weighs more heavily here than almost anywhere else: Almería has one of the harshest summers on the peninsula and no indoor alternatives. In July and August, go karting is best done first thing in the morning or after sunset, and it's advisable to check the schedule before traveling.
