Racing Kart Maspalomas

The track

Racing Kart Maspalomas is located at kilometer 2 on the Palmitos Park highway, across from Aqualand, in Maspalomas. It is the second karting track in southern Gran Canaria, just a few kilometers from the Gran Karting Club.

Its fleet is divided into five age groups, with ages well distributed, and it offers one of the lowest age ranges in the directory: the Kids’ Kart is for children ages 5 to 6, the Junior for ages 7 to 14, the Adult for ages 15 and up, the Double Kart for an adult to drive with a child, and the Competition Kart for those over 18. Sessions last ten minutes, except for the Competition category, which runs in eight-minute blocks.

It’s rare to find a specific kart for the 5- to 6-year-old age group: at most tracks, a five-year-old can only ride as a passenger in a two-seater, but here they have their own kart.

And it has a unique feature that sets it apart in the Canary Islands: in addition to rentals, it allows visitors to bring their own karts and offers small, lockable garages for storage. This makes it a viable option for island residents who own their own equipment, not just for visitors spending an afternoon here. For safety, it features PROTEX protective barriers.

Reservations can be made online, by email, or by phone; they sell gift certificates and organize custom events for groups, companies, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and birthdays.

A heads-up: its own website lists two different hours—one in the header and another in the footer—with a half-hour difference in closing time. If you plan to go right at the end of the day, it’s best to call ahead. It’s closed on Mondays.
