Racing Center Gilesias

The track

Racing Center Gilesias is an outdoor go-kart track located on the N-332, the former Alicante-Cartagena highway, on the stretch between La Marina and Guardamar del Segura, in the Vega Baja region. It has been in operation since 1989, making it one of the oldest karting facilities in the province.

It’s worth checking the location before leaving home. Several karting listings place it in San Fulgencio, a neighboring inland town, when the track is actually in the municipality of Guardamar, right next to the coastal highway. Searching for it under the wrong municipality will leave your GPS directing you several kilometers away from the site.

It features gasoline-powered karts and has three types of karts: single-seaters, two-seaters for carrying a passenger who isn’t driving—such as a young child or someone who doesn’t feel confident driving alone—and karts for children. Of all the karting tracks in Alicante listed in this directory, it is the only one that offers a driving school—that is, training in addition to individual sessions—which is important if you’re looking not just for an afternoon of fun but to truly improve your skills.

Around the track, there’s a restaurant, a merchandise shop, and a photo and video service for your session—another feature unique to this circuit in the province. It hosts children’s birthday parties, group events, and bachelor/bachelorette parties, a common occurrence in the Guardamar and Torrevieja area due to the high volume of tourism.

It’s open every day, making it one of the most convenient options in the Vega Baja region for a spontaneous visit without too much planning.
