The track
Go-Karts Orihuela Costa is an outdoor track located at kilometer 5.7 of the N-332, the highway connecting Torrevieja and Cartagena, in the Orihuela Costa area. Administratively, it belongs to Orihuela, although Torrevieja is the practical reference point for getting there: it is the closest go-kart track to the tourist hub on the southern coast of Alicante.
It has two outdoor tracks and, among the go-kart tracks in the province listed in this directory, it is the one that closes the latest: both tracks are open from 11:00 a.m. to midnight every day of the week. This makes it a unique option for nighttime driving, with the track lit up and without the heat of the day—which is a real draw along this stretch of coast from June through September.
The fleet runs on gasoline and includes children’s karts for the little ones. Among its amenities are a restaurant—allowing you to extend your outing beyond your driving session—and an on-screen lap timer: the fastest lap is displayed for everyone to see, which is what turns a group of friends into a real race. It hosts children’s birthday parties, group events, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.
If you’re visiting during peak season, keep the surrounding area in mind: the N-332 near Torrevieja gets congested on summer afternoons, so the trip may take significantly longer than what your GPS indicates.
