Menorca has two karting circuits, one at each end of the island: Karting Mahón, at the Aeroclub grounds, and Kartingrock, in Ciutadella. Between them lies forty-five kilometers of road that crosses the island from end to end, so in practice each serves its respective half.
The fact that the Mahón circuit is located at the Aeroclub is not anecdotal: it is the type of facility that arises where there is already a venue with space and a passion for motorsports, and it usually involves a circuit with its own life beyond the peak season.
Kartingrock, in Ciutadella, offers two-seater karts and children's karts, making it the most suitable option for families or those with someone who doesn't want to drive. The Mahón location only has gasoline-powered karts and a track.
Both are outdoor circuits, and on an island where the tramontana wind is part of the landscape, the weather has more influence than it might seem. There's no indoor alternative in Menorca, so it's best to call ahead if the forecast is for unsettled weather.
We haven't been able to verify the track length of either circuit, so we're not publishing any figures. Of the three islands in the directory with circuits, Menorca has the least confirmed technical data—and we prefer to say so rather than fill the entry with figures of dubious origin.
