Karting Mahón (Aeroclub)

The track

Karting Mahón is located next to the Sant Lluís airfield, on the road from Maó to Sant Lluís, on the outskirts of Mahón. It is managed by the Real Aeroclub de Mahón-Menorca, which also operates the airfield itself, and for that reason it is also known as Karting Aeroclub: they are the same place with two names.

It’s a go-kart rental track, open to drivers of all ages, and the aeroclub describes it as a fast, twisty course. It claims to be open year-round, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

That combination—being located at an airfield and being open year-round—is what makes it a valuable option in Menorca: most of the island’s leisure activities depend on the summer season, but here you can race even in winter.

It is also the only circuit in Menorca listed in this directory.

Two practical tips. First, the phone number: the circuit’s number is 619 43 45 09—the one listed on its own website—not the flying club’s switchboard number, which is different and does not handle track sessions. Second, it’s a good idea to confirm the schedule before you go: the flying club’s website, which publishes the schedule, hasn’t been updated in years, and the track has announced special schedules on certain dates.

It does not list the length or width of the track, the types or engine displacements of the karts, minimum age or height requirements, or the duration of the sessions. These are the details missing from this profile.
