The track
Formula Karting Granada is the city’s longest-running indoor karting track: it opened in 2004 and has been in operation for more than twenty years. Since 2019, it has been located in an unusual spot that’s worth explaining, because it’s the first thing that surprises you upon arrival: the track is inside the S1 underground parking garage at the Granaita Shopping Center, in the Decathlon area.
The facility spans 3,000 square meters and features a 420-meter track layout, complete with a main straight, a counter-straight, and a series of technical turns. Since it’s indoors, neither the July heat in Granada nor the January rain can spoil an afternoon there.
Sessions come in two lengths—eight and fifteen minutes—with different rates for adults and those over 12 years old versus those under that age.
What truly sets it apart is the competition it organizes—and it’s no small feat: the Granada Karting League is now in its 40th season, a level of continuity that almost no other track in this directory can match. Alongside it, there’s a women’s league and a children’s league, as well as the La Caixa League. Having a dedicated women’s category is very rare in Spanish karting, and for a female driver who wants to compete regularly, it’s a compelling reason to choose this track.
It also hosts bachelor/bachelorette parties, group events, team-building activities, and custom competitions for companies or brands. Birthday parties are organized for children ages 11 and up.
Two practical notes: Minors under 18 need a signed authorization form, which can be downloaded from their website before arriving. And reservations are made via WhatsApp.
Open daily: Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and on Sundays from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
It does not list the track width or the engine displacements of its karts: this information is missing from this listing.
