The track

Fast Circuit Valencia isn’t your typical go-kart rental facility, and it’s important to know that before you go. It’s the FAST driving school, located within the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste—the venue for the Valencian Community Grand Prix—at exit 334 of the A-3.

Karting takes place on the GP Track, a scale replica of the Grand Prix circuit: eight meters wide, with a 230-meter main straight and a length of nearly one kilometer—extendable to almost two kilometers when connected to the school’s other tracks. It is the only track in this directory that is a miniature version of a real-life speed circuit, and its layout is designed so that nearly the entire lap can be seen from a single vantage point. The karts consist of twelve 290-cc, four-stroke Honda-powered units, equipped with roll bars and seat belts.

Now, here are the two conditions that truly determine whether this venue is suitable for a specific plan, as they are quite restrictive and not immediately apparent from the outside: it only accommodates groups of at least eight people, and the minimum age is 14. This means that a couple, a family with children, or a group of five friends cannot drive here. For those situations, there are other options in the province; this is the place to come for a bachelor or bachelorette party, a work team, or a social club.

Both formats consist of full races rather than individual sessions: timed practice followed by a 12-lap race, and a version that includes free practice sessions beforehand. Both include grid organization, qualifying, trophies, and accident insurance. There are live lap times, a giant video scoreboard, and a terrace right next to the track.

There’s much more to the karting facility, as the driving school spans 55,000 square meters of tracks with varying levels of grip: safe and sports driving courses for cars, motorcycles, 4x4s, and trucks; Formula Experience single-seaters; sessions with your own kart; and private test drives. If you’re planning a full day of motorsports—not just a single race—this is the place in the province where you can experience the widest variety of activities back-to-back.
