The track

The Olaberria Circuit is located in Gainera Auzoa, in Olaberria, in the interior of Guipúzcoa, forty kilometers from San Sebastián. It is managed by Vilariño Motorsport, which also operates the Irún Indoor Karting Track listed in this directory; together, the two facilities cover the province both inland and along the coast.

There are three rental categories: the 390 cc kart, for drivers 14 and older; the 200 cc kart, with a minimum height requirement of 1.40 meters; and a children’s kart for younger drivers. Runs last ten minutes, and ten-run passes are available.

But what truly sets this place apart is that it’s not just a kart rental track—it’s a full-fledged motorsports facility. It offers private practice sessions for those with their own karts or motorcycles, with specific days and times set aside for this purpose and an annual pass for frequent visitors. It organizes motorcycle and karting track days, as well as drifting and speed motorshows, and offers courses in both karting—for both engine displacements—and safe driving. It also has its own racing shop, Racing Shop, which carries Hoosier and Avon tires, VP Racing fuel, and Evo Corse rims.

For those who race without their own equipment, there’s the 390 Rental Karting Cup, featuring one race per month consisting of a 15-minute qualifying session and a 15-minute race. Group races are held with a minimum of eight participants and can be booked for twenty or thirty minutes, in either engine class. The track also hosts birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and corporate events, and features a café.

A practical feature appreciated by repeat visitors: Vilariño has a driver app that saves your personal lap times for both Olaberria and Irún, so visits to both circuits are tracked in the same history.

The rental hours are limited, so be sure to plan accordingly: it’s only open Thursday through Sunday and on holidays, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
