Karting Marineda

The track

Karting Marineda is located inside the Marineda City shopping center, on the second floor, in A Coruña. It's an indoor track, and its website describes it as the largest indoor track in Galicia.

Being inside a shopping center has a specific advantage that doesn't need much explanation in Galicia: no matter how much it rains, the plan remains in place, and there is parking, shops and restaurants in the same building for those who are not filming.

This is the Galician branch of Karting Marineda, which also has the Seville circuit listed in this directory. They share the same system and way of working, although not the exact same fleet: here the models are newer.

The karts are Sodikart karts in three tiers, with the categories defined by height as well as age: the LR6 for children, from 1.30 meters up to 13 years old; the RT10 for adults, from 14 years old; and a two-seater where the driver is over 18 and the passenger can be as young as 3 years old, with a height limit of 1.30 meters. These two categories fit together perfectly: right where a child can no longer ride as a passenger, they can begin to drive themselves.

It has its own racing school, which is what sets it apart from a karting for just passing the afternoon: there's a path for those who truly want to improve. It also organizes its own format called Battle of the Titans, and caters to birthdays, corporate events, and group races.

You can buy a video summary of the race, with the starting grid, fastest lap and classification already set up, and it has its own clothing store.
